At CrossFit Rocked we are all about changing lives. We devote all of our efforts into improving every person’s life that walks through our doors. We are not here to tell you that CrossFit is superior to any other type of fitness or that it is the only way to be healthy. We are only here to help. We take great pride in being able to offer a program that encompasses the aspects of fitness that will open you up to a brand new world and will improve your quality of life forever. We focus on proper nutrition, perfect technique, appropriate exercises, effective programming and the most enjoyable atmosphere you can imagine. We don’t care about your weight, age, gender, or current fitness level. We only care about your success. At CrossFit Rocked we are a team and a family and we deeply care about everyone’s achievements.
The magic is in the movements. All of CrossFit’s workouts are based on constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. Functional movements are the core movements of life, found everywhere, and built naturally into our DNA. They move the largest loads the longest distances so they are ideal for maximizing the amount of work done in the shortest amount of time (intensity). We squat, run, jump, lift, throw.
By employing a constantly-varied approach to training, these functional movements at maximum intensity (relative to the physical tolerances of the participant), lead to dramatic gains in fitness. Intensity is essential for results and is measurable as work/time. The more work you do in less time, the more intense the effort.
In implementation, CrossFit is, quite simply, the “sport of fitness.” We’ve learned that harnessing the natural camaraderie, competition and fun of sport or game yields an intensity that cannot be matched by other means. It is our observation that men and women will die for points or better times. Using whiteboards as scoreboards, keeping accurate scores and records, running a clock, and precisely defining the rules and standards for performance, we not only motivate unprecedented output, but also derive both relative and absolute metrics at every workout. This data has important value well beyond motivation.
While it challenges the world’s fittest, the CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual, regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals and elite athletes. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.
The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind. Our hockey players, grandparents, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.
The training facility is made up of over 5000 square feet.
